Green house in Singapore

Saturday, April 30th, 2011

Green houseThe Meera House was built in design Guz Architects and is located on Sentosa Island, Singapore. It is a bold and original project. However, few homes can boast a green area at every level. Here is a brief description of Architects: Land of the island are not great and the buildings are built in close proximity, so our strategy was to build strong walls around to ensure the greatest possible privacy and at the same time enough light in the central part and staircase on which to feel the breeze. The terrace provides not only visual, but real access to vegetation. The goal was the garden as the basis of the above laminated floor and giving effect to appear as two storey house. We managed somehow, despite limited space and the large size of the house. This is a wonderful architectural idea and certainly uncompromising maintenance of greenery. Really amazing design, very beautiful architecture and perfect interior, which is unforgetable in all cases.

Sunday, November 15th, 2009

Twilight houseI remember how, after watching dusk, never thought about it. The film is indifferently. It would be great if American romance takes up a small part of the plot. So my attention was drawn not so much from the film, as the house I saw in him. Namely house vampire Cullens. Aega your house! Even more impressed, and I saw Edward’s room. Immediately I decided that this is a house, which has to find more information and to publish it. I searched in the network and proved that not only I’m interested in it. In some sites there was little info, including the site of the company that built it. But then he never found time to write something. The good news is that plenty of information out in the meantime. Even an interview with Jeff Koval architect who designed it. It turns out that they are designed and built a house not for a particular client, but as project, as they call it. Ie it is built in order then to find a buyer and sell it. Were started in 2006 and in 2007 was prepared. After 2 days the market was bought by John Hawk, chief of the shoe department of Nike. After publication in the Architectural Edition family is connected Hawk Scout, shooting seeking locations for a small film called Twilight. Design a new house in the neighborhood and its construction will begin as soon as we find another vampire, “says architect Koval. Since the movie came out, architectural firms receive many letters from fans, and requests for plans of the house from all sides, such as Croatia, the Philippines, Brazil, Australia. The house, called M1, has a size 400 meters ² and is located on the border of Forest Park Portland, Oregon. Her style is modern, but with its horizontal lines, cascading levels, overhanging eaves, unconventional angles, big windows and roof with a small slope, rather reminiscent of prairie houses of Frank Lloyd Wright than today.

Desert houseThat fashion requires that many of the luxury houses are in a minimalist style, does not mean that we should be deprived of fountains, pools and comfortable furniture. Will present architectural project in which minimalism is an asset used facade with a final clean shapes and creates harmony with the surroundings. The reason is simple – these houses were built in the middle of the desert in America. The first house belongs to a couple from Colorado, which has a weakness for Marmol Raginer furniture and sliding glass doors. Thus, nature has a maximum near, but still has a lot to protect owners of its motions. Jane Whatmor of Santa Fe has a land area of 11 acres and employs the architect Bart Prince to create a home that she uses throughout the year. Unusual shape and changing the height of the ceilings create a feeling of spaciousness. The color of the walls is in tune with the wilderness around. Sometimes a simple piece gives security and becomes a source of inspiration. This happens with limestone elements of the house of the producer Jerry Weintraub, which has an area of 930 m2. Sliding glass walls allow for easy access to the pool and nature around.

Green AppartmentMatthew Blesso entrepreneur buys this penthouse apartment (288 square meters) in Manhattan in 2006. about $ 4 million. But then does a standard repair, but provide it in the hands of two professors from Yale – the architect Joel Sanders and the landscape designer Diana Balmori. They teach discipline to the integration of architecture and landscape design called Interface. Their task is to introduce ideas and create a roof garden, which, however, is rife in the interior, combining vigorous vegetation and drip irrigation with custom furniture and flooring. Carry it with several designers and … $ 1 million. The project goes through ups and downs a lot. For example the owner wished the garden at the base of the stairs to a patio, surrounded by glass and an open top. But it would require the installation of drainage system for rainwater. The pipes would have occupied too much space and detract from the height of the premises, which has already been reduced because of the climate system. It is therefore refused, however, an alternative solution is not bad at all. Built over the stairs, starting from the garden dratsena / dracaena /, shed looks very spectacular and adds an additional level in the roof garden. It planted vegetation types, including 2 types of mint, which Blesso used for cocktails, which makes its guests. The roof is open to the views of Manhattan, Brooklyn and Williamsburg bridges. Creator and owner of this beautiful house is the architect Jeremy Levine. That’s why the project is called Levine Residence. On the pitch, which is located the house, there are many trees and it is good. This is to hinder its possible expansion. Levine decided to maintain them, hem, hem add extension from 60 square meters to the building 100 meters ², which does not completely renovated. Place it as the new part built around the trees, and so each room to look like a courtyard. Hence the name of the house Three Trees or as I call it – three trees. But as the firm of Levine deals with a modern, sustainable architecture, he decided to use this project and laboratory testing of sustainable technologies and green materials, such as the incorporation of a system for recycling gray water / sewage bit / s of concrete fly ash to use in other projects.
